“I trained as a nurse at the Middlesex Hospital from 1969 -72.The chapel is all that remains of the hospital. The hospital was closed in 2005 and demolished in 2007. The Middlesex was a wonderful hospital and as student nurses we worked very hard but also played hard!! I have some very special memories of my time there and the chapel was very much a part of the hospital. When I visit the chapel or think about it standing all alone in a modern development, it makes me feel sad but also evokes so many memories of the hospital. The chapel was a special place of peace in the hustle and bustle of a busy hospital.”
